Pope St. John Paul II wrote: “One way of renewing parishes, especially urgent for parishes in large cities, might be to consider the parish as a community of communities and movements…to form ecclesial communities and groups of a size that allows for true human relationships…” (The Church in America, 41).
True human relationships are essential for Christian maturity. Small faith-sharing groups can uniquely meet fundamental needs like feeling known, loved, supported, and inspired to become the people God has created us to be. These small groups take on the character of discipleship when they are designed to grow in both knowledge and practice of the Faith. Discipleship Group Studies contain the following format with the intention to form fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ.
Questions/exercises to get to know one another on a deeper level.
Engaging video teaching with well-crafted questions to get the group thinking
